ALTERing NATIVism, a book, 2015

I was very glad to be part of the exhibition ALTERing NATIVism – Sound Cultures in Post-War Taiwan, curated by Amy Cheng, Jeph Lo and Tung-Hung Ho . And now I am delighted to have my work and an article feature in the following publication, under the same title, published by TheCube gallery.

My essay is about field recording as a practice and a tool for community-based projects and it is describing some of the experience we (Atelier Hui-Kan, with Wan-Shuen Tsai) we did in Hakka and Atayal lands, especially in Hsinchu County and Meinung.

The book is in Chinese. But there is an extended English version of my article available online (on Kalerne.net) and was first published on the Taiwan Community Platform website.
